A Call to Civic Faithfulness: Encouraging Your Congregation to Vote on November 3
Dear Pastors, Church Leaders, and Believers,
GOD FIRST! FAITH IN ACTION! AMERICA ALWAYS! πΊπΈ
I pray this message finds you, your families, and your congregations blessed and thriving in the service of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As we approach the November 3, 2026, General Election, I am reaching out with a heartfelt appeal to faith communities throughout Florida and across our great nation.
Our nation needs prayer, principled leadership, strong families, and citizens committed to exercising their constitutional freedoms and responsibilities.
Throughout American history, churches and faith communities have helped strengthen families, serve those in need, defend religious liberty, promote justice, and encourage responsible citizenship.
Today, that tradition remains as important as ever.
THE BIBLICAL FOUNDATION FOR CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY
Scripture provides timeless wisdom concerning leadership, justice, responsibility, and our obligations to God and one another.
Romans 13:1 β Respect for Governing Authority
“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.”
As Americans, we are blessed to live in a constitutional republic where citizens have a voice in choosing their elected representatives. That freedom provides an opportunity to participate responsibly in public life.
Proverbs 29:2 β The Importance of Righteous Leadership
“When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.”
Leadership matters. The character, integrity, wisdom, and decisions of elected officials affect our families, communities, and future generations.
Matthew 5:13β14 β Be the Salt and Light
“You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world.”
Our faith calls us to be a positive influence in the world around us. We demonstrate that calling through service, compassion, integrity, and responsible participation in our communities.
Micah 6:8 β Pursue Justice and Walk Humbly
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”
As citizens, we have opportunities to consider questions of justice, human dignity, religious liberty, and the well-being of our neighbors when making civic decisions.
1 Timothy 2:1β2 β Pray for Our Leaders
“I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”
We are instructed to pray for those entrusted with public authority. In our American system of government, citizens also have the opportunity to participate in choosing those leaders.
PASTORS AND CHURCH LEADERS, YOUR VOICES MATTER!
As spiritual leaders, you have an important role in encouraging prayer, service, wisdom, compassion, and personal responsibility.
I respectfully invite you to consider dedicating a few moments during your upcoming Sunday service to prayer for our nation and a nonpartisan reminder about the importance of responsible citizenship.
Encouraging informed civic participation does not require endorsing or opposing any political party or candidate.
Faith communities can make a meaningful contribution by:
- PRAYING for our nation, our elected officials, candidates, and the wisdom of every voter.
- ENCOURAGING eligible citizens to
